So far, the worst offender is gelatin, which turns up in goodies like:
- Altoids
- Mentos

Also, sadly for vegetarians that like cheese, rennet is not clearly labelled. The only cheese i know is safe is
Cabot cheese, from Vermont. Go Cabot!

However, i randomly typed in cheese.com and got this useful list: Vegetarian
Cheeses, which
- does not include Cabot
- i have not checked for accuracy or availability, and
- is a bit gourmet-ish (gourmetty?) to be very comfy, but does make the effort!
This page is obviously a work in progress and currently very lame, but i intend to have
some resources on food labelling, sources of food additives (like rennet, and other mysteries of ?nature?).
If you know more stuff or want to collaborate with me on this, email me.

The inspiration for this (so far, one-item) list is -

Creme-filled cookies. i don't know the brand, but really!
